PROGRAM: Drug Court Recovery

The Jeremiah House will be a 12-month recovery program for men facing addiction and mental health issues. Our focus will be on working with drug courts and the justice reform of post incarcerated men in efforts of sobriety and work ethics through our work therapy program in instilling men with a trade or a skill in a vocation.

  • Phase I: intake, Entry and 60-day restriction from phone and outside contact, assign work therapy position, kitchen, maintenance, lawn care, gardening etc. initial Individual Service Plan (ISP)/ goals. Introduced to Sleep Therapy (8 hours of consecutive sleep pattern).
  • Work 12 Step Program, AA Classes, NA Classes, Men’s Class, Chapel, Bible study, Get Sponsor / Mentor through AA groups and churches etc.
  • Phase II: 61 days – 6 months, Continue 12 step process, should be working steps 4, 5 and 6 and complete along with ISP and Goals such as court stuff, GED, sobriety, metal health update. Introduced to (exercise, diet, meditation, and counseling if not already involved).
  • Phase III: 6 months, to 9 months continue with 12 step process, working through steps 7, 8, 9 continued achievement of court stuff, goals and ISP’s continued meeting with sponsors or mentors in person or phone.
  • Phase IV: JOB READINESS: Completion on steps 10, 11 and 12, court obligations complete, exit plan, start needs assessment: DL, SSC, fines need paid off, building resume’, independent living skills, budgeting, job coaching/interview skills. Do they want to go to VO-Tech or find a job in a specific area? Maybe College as well. During their time in our program they will be taught to read a tape measure, be exposed to light construction, building maintenance, Culinary Arts and serve safe certification, ground works and gardening, light mechanics and small engine repair.

 

TRANSITION:

After completing our 12-month recovery program the men will then move into transition. They can stay up to an additional 6 months when employed and save money to pay off fines and can move into sober living in a tiny home or a house with other males.

May also work through an LLC self-sustaining company of Jeremiah House.

Justice Reform: Recovery/Work Program

  • Phase II: 61 days- 4 months, needs assessment /ISP goals such as fines, DL, vehicle, insurance, continue 12 steps, work therapy etc. also attends Job Readiness class, independent living skills, mock interviews, budgeting, build resume’.
  • Phase III: 4 months – 6 months, obtain employment through local businesses or Jeremiah House LLC, start paying off fines and working financial goals
  • Phase IV: 6 months – 12 months, employed, assess financial goals, fines, etc. Transition plan, sober living, apartment, house etc.
  • Graduate and move into housing
